Institute of Fire Safety and Disaster Management is one and the only Institute of its kind in the country having all kind of live Fire Training modules in the campus. All the possible fire and other Industrial Hazards have been created in life size where real accident, incident scenarios are created and practical training is imparted to handle all kind of emergencies. This kind of hands on practical exposure of handling real time emergencies gives confidence to participants to handle similar emergencies if occurs in their work place. Similarly all kinds of fire protection and safety systems are installed to handle all types of emergencies. Some of the most modern sophisticated and high technological equipments such as long range high capacity remote control long range water, foam monitors (UL Listed), rim seal system for automatic detection and extinguishing system in floating roof tanks, automatic fire detection and alarm system, water, Foam and powder based fixed fire extinguishing system, high pressure water & foam streams are installed to combat large size catastrophe. Refinery platform, LPG bullet, large fuel oil tanks, rail /tanker gantry, under ground pipe racks, conveyor belting system, electrical panel, transformer, cable gallery etc are some of the live training modules on which real size practical training is imparted. A fleet of high tech fire fighting appliances are available in the campus to impart training and to use them in emergency as wells as for charter fire services.
